PROGRAMMES OF STUDY
BACHELOR OF MINISTRY (BMin) (EXTERNAL)
Purpose
The external BMin programme provides an
opportunity for worthy DipTh students and graduates of the Bible College of East
Africa (or an approved college) to earn an undergraduate degree by studying
under the faculty of FEBC without having to leave their home country or disrupt
their ministry.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must show evidence of God’s call
to full-time Christian service, and must have successfully completed a
pre-university education with the English language as the primary medium of
instruction. The programme is offered to current full-time DipTh candidates of
the College in their senior year of studies (3rd/4th
year). Enrolment is also open to past BCEA DipTh graduates who are already in
full-time Christian service. DipTh graduates of other Bible Colleges are welcome
to apply, but their previous training must meet the academic standards of FEBC
and BCEA. Graduates of other Bible Colleges if accepted into the programme may
be required to fulfil certain prerequisites before matriculating as BMin
students. All applications and enquiries should be made to the Academic Dean of
BCEA, PO Box 41140, Nairobi, Kenya.
Programme Requirements
Students must complete in residence 8 BMin
courses taught by FEBC lecturers. Besides taking the residential courses,
students must complete 4 collateral reading modules in the areas of Christian
Theology, Biblical Studies, Church History, and Pastoral Theology. A major
written project is required in the final year.
Graduation Requirements
Candidates must complete their DipTh and
BMin course requirements with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Evidence to the faculty of
approved Christian character must also be shown. The successful candidate must
be present at the graduation service for the conferral of the degree.
