A Loving Heart (Part 2)
Living in this world, everyone likes to be loved and to
live in love. Many do not want to live anymore when they are
disappointed at their friends’ or loved ones’ love. We cannot deny the
truth that all the problems and crimes in this world are due to the lack
of love in human hearts. If everyone loves God and loves one another
according to God’s Word, they can live together in peace and harmony,
without envy, hatred, deceit, prejudice, racial discrimination,
covetousness, theft, fornication, adultery, murder, wars, etc. If you
truly love others, you will not want to steal their things, harm them,
or kill them. If husbands and wives love each other, they can respect
each other, bear with each other, help each other, and faithfully live
together without adultery or divorce. If parents love their children,
they can take care of them, nurture them, admonish them, and discipline
them to be good citizens. If children love their parents, they can
honour, obey and show filial piety to their parents. If the siblings
love one another, they can show self-denial in their mutual dealings,
take care of one another and help one another. If every family can live
together in love, there will be peace and happiness at home, in society
and in this world. Love is so vital and precious! The Holy Scriptures
confirm, “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the
greatest of these is charity” (1 Cor 13:13). Many think that they
have a loving heart and are able to change this world, but sadly, human
love is very selfish, limited and changeable due to their selfish and
sinful nature; therefore, there cannot be happiness and peace in this
world without selfless and holy love of God in human hearts.
