A Loving Heart (Part 3)
Human love is very selfish, limited and changeable. Many
are naive, believing in their friends’ promises of love and then ending
up in disappointment and bitterness. A pretty girl who has her charm,
good health, intellect, and a good job, attracts many young men who fall
in love with her and ask her to marry them; however, when that girl has
an accident, and loses her beauty, and is restricted to her wheelchair
and unable to take care of herself, then she will be disappointed at the
love of those who have expressed to her. Another gullible girl who is so
light-minded and readily believes all the love letters or words and kind
deeds of her boyfriend is much disappointed and suffers great misery
after having given herself to him and then found out that he does not
want to marry her for life but only to “live together” with her for a
while!
Many think that they and their life-partners will happily
live together and love each other for life as the vows they have made at
their wedding ceremony, but after living together for some time, they
find out that their life-partners’ love is only selfish, limited and
changeable. Then more problems, disagreements, and arguments that come
about lead to separation, divorce or adultery. Many couples want to show
in public that they are very happy together, but actually for the sake
of their children they have tried to bear with each other while they
cannot find happiness in family because they have left their first love!
Some love their life-partners or children because they
bring home much money while ignoring the amount comes from unrighteous
or unlawful acts!
Some badly-behaved children ran away from home and caused
their parents a lot of trouble, but after their lives are transformed
through repenting of their sins and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as
their Saviour, they return home, apologize to their parents, and live a
good life, but their parents threaten to drive them out if they keep on
believing and worshiping the Lord Jesus!
