A
Peaceful Heart (Part 2)
Only God the Creator is
able to give you and me true, firm and long lasting peace because that
peace comes from Him and it does not rely on anyone or anything in this
world. Then how can you and I have true peace in our hearts?
Be Reconciled to God through the Saviour Jesus Christ:
If you
and I are living or doing things against the law, we shall be scared of
seeing the judge, the authorities and the police. God is holy and
righteous and hates sins while human beings are sinful and like living
in sins, so they are scared of coming near to God and do not like to
hear His Word, lest their sins be exposed and make their hearts
troubled, uncomfortable, and contrite. The Lord Jesus says, “For
every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light,
lest his deeds should be reproved” (John 3:20). God has power or
authority to bless or curse mankind, but they do not reverence Him and
just want to run away from Him, then how can they have a peaceful heart?
God has opened a way for mankind so that they may come near to Him and
are accepted in the Saviour Jesus, who humbled Himself to become a man,
died for the sins of mankind, and rose again to give His new life,
righteousness and peace to those who believe in Him and submit to Him:
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom 5:1), and “To wit, that God was in
Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation…we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God”
(2 Cor 5:19-20). Are you willing to repent of your sins and to receive
