Peaceful Heart (Part 6)
Trust in the Lord and
Commit Everything to Him:
God is sovereign over all things, so everything happening to His
children is by His permission, not by chance or by accident. God is able
to make all things work together for good to His children, so let us
trust in Him and commit all things to Him.
King David
shared his experience, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
In God I will praise his
word…”
(Ps 56:3-4). Dear friends, the secret to get rid of worries and fears is
to trust in the Lord and His Word. Exactly, to trust in the Lord and His
Word is to honour Him, and He will honour the faith of His dear children
by keeping them in His perfect peace, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”
(Isa 26:3). Many are so worried and frightened because they only think
of themselves and their difficult situations. When you are worried and
frightened, do you think of the Lord and commit all your anxieties to
Him? “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1
Peter 5:7). In all situations, let us turn to the Lord and trust in Him,
cry unto Him and commit all things to Him as He is the only One who is
able to help us, deliver us and give us His peace, “Be careful
(anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:6-7). What a blessing to
have our hearts and minds kept by God’s peace! The peace that even we
ourselves cannot comprehend and that others will be surprised at our
calm and peace in such dangers, trials, difficulties or illness! Do you
