A Peaceful Heart (Part 7)

Live in God’s Presence: When the three friends of Daniel were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace for the sake of their faith in God and His Word, they still remained calm. Why? Because God was with them (Dan 3:16-30). When Daniel was cast into a den of lions due to his faith in God and his prayers to His Name, he still stayed calm. Why? Because God was with him (Dan 6:10-23). Dear friends, our almighty God is the God of peace, and if you and I have Him be with us and rule our hearts, we shall have a true peaceful heart that still lasts in all situations, even in our afflictions, trials, dangers, etc.

King David shared his experience, “I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved… Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me” (Ps 16:8; 23:4). Do you and I always live in God’s presence no matter where we are or go and what we do or say? God is holy, omniscient and omnipresent. To maintain God’s presence in our lives, we must keep ourselves holy and separated from sins, worldly pleasures and anything against His will and His Word. Sin is the cause of all troubles because it separates us from God’s holy presence; therefore, Jesus’ precious blood is vital to keep cleansing us from all our sins when we confess to Him, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin… If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:7, 9). Dear friends, a peaceful heart is a heart that is always cleansed from all sins and always has the holy presence of the God of peace.
