The Matron
operates a dining club. Members are provided daily meals at the College:
breakfast, lunch and dinner, from Mondays to Fridays. No meals are served
on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and during College vacation.
Membership per semester is $400 (non-refundable).

ACCOMMODATION
All full-time single or unmarried
students are required to reside in the College dormitories during the
semester. Dormitory accommodations are furnished free. A limited number of
married quarters are available at Beulah House, 10 Gilstead Road.
Residential students are required to contribute two hours per week toward
maintenance and cleanliness of the Church-and-College campus.
WITHDRAWALS, TRANSFERS AND REFUNDS
The student has the freedom to withdraw
from the College, or transfer to another school at any point in time. The
College will assist the student in signing the necessary papers/forms to
effect the withdrawal, and/or in the cancellation/transfer of the student
pass.
A student who chooses to withdraw from
a course in which he/she is enrolled must do so by completing a FRAG form.
All fees and deposits (except non-refundable fees as stated in the fee
schedule above) are refunded to the tuition-paying student if he/she
withdraws within 21 days (inclusive of non-working days) from the
commencement date of the course/semester. No fees are refundable after 21
days. The College is not liable for any payments or deposits made to third
parties.
The student shall be entitled to
withdraw immediately from the course by giving written notice to the
College of his/her intention to do so under the following circumstances:
(1) the College fails, for any reason, to commence the course on the
commencement date; (2) the College fails, for any reason, to complete the
course by the completion date; (3) the College terminates the course for
any reason prior to the completion of the course; or (4) the College is in
material breach of its obligations as spelled out in the Standard Student
Contract. In such withdrawal cases, the College shall refund to the
tuition-paying student the entire amount (100%) of the tuition fees and
deposit, plus non-tuition and/or additional fees within 14 days after
receiving the written notice of withdrawal.
STUDENT PROTECTION SCHEME
The College has in place two Student
Protection Schemes (SPS) approved by the Consumers Association of Singapore
(CASE).
|
(1) |
Tuition-paying students are
protected by a Student Tuition Fee Insurance (STFI) issued by NTUC-Income
Insurance Co-operative Ltd (Master Insurance Policy No 1000000117)
pursuant to the terms and conditions of the CASE-FEBC Agreement dated
April 27, 2005 made between CASE and FEBC. A copy of the
Master
Insurance Policy dated April 1, 2005 issued by NTUC-Income taken up by
the College for the purpose of insuring, among other things, the
student is found in the Student Handbook. The student signs a Standard Student Contract with the
College. |
| |
|
|
(2) |
Non-fee paying students or
students under FEBC’s full-tuition scholarship are protected by a
"Declaration & Undertaking" for non-requirement of SPS signed by the
College. The student signs a CASE-Approved Student Contract with the
College. |
Local students are required to sign the
Standard Student Contract but the STFI SPS is optional.
SPS took effect on December 1, 2004, and is applicable
only to students enrolled after this date.
